About VLM Poliplast

VLM Poliplast, European Flexible Packaging Manufacturer

A European flexible packaging manufacturer based in Romania, supplying custom rolls and pouches to brand owners, co-packers and producers across the EU and export markets. We laminate, print and convert film into finished, line-ready packaging, engineered to EU food-contact and PPWR standards. For companies sourcing packaging in Europe, we pair a converter's technical depth with a short, EU-based supply chain and English-speaking technical support.

Who we are

A European converter, not a catalogue supplier

VLM Poliplast is a flexible packaging manufacturer and converter: we start from film substrates and laminate, slit, print, perforate and turn them into finished rolls and pouches, each one built to run on a specific line and to meet current EU rules. We do not sell packaging off a shelf; every project is engineered around a product, a machine and a shelf-life target.

International brands, co-packers and producers work with us when they want European manufacturing without the friction of long-haul imports: EU food-contact and PPWR compliance from the start, a short and predictable supply chain, and direct contact with the people who make the material. We supply across Romania, the European Union and export markets.

Capabilities

In-house converting

01
Solventless lamination
Duplex and triplex structures bonded with a two-component solventless adhesive, no organic solvents, cured before the roll is released.
02
Slitting and roll configuration
Width, gauge, core, unwind direction and tension set so the roll runs correctly on your HFFS, VFFS or FFS line, with clean edges and minimal waste.
03
Pouch-making and converting
Film converted into finished pouches, from stand-up doypack to quad-seal and flow-wrap, taking a laminated roll through to a ready-to-use pack.
04
Micro and macro perforation
Macro or micro perforation for fresh-produce films, with hole diameter, density and pattern set to the product's respiration rate.
05
Flexographic printing up to 8 colours
Up to 8 colours, with Pantone matching on request and material samples before the run, so your design is confirmed before the series.
06
Quality control and line testing
Film compatibility tested with your equipment and sealing parameters set before series production, with the food-contact and ISO paperwork documented.
Our production process

How your packaging is made, step by step

We source film substrates from established suppliers, then do the converting in-house. This is what separates a manufacturer from a distributor: every step below happens under one roof, with documentation carried through to delivery.

Why VLM

Why brands source their packaging from us

1
EU manufacturing and compliance
Packaging built to EU rules from the start, food-contact, PFAS-free and PPWR-aligned, so it is ready for the European market without reworking.
2
A short European supply chain
Producing inside the EU means shorter, more predictable timelines than long-haul imports, no intra-EU customs clearance, and direct contact with the plant.
3
Structure engineered to your line
We select the structure around your product, its oxygen and moisture barrier needs and your machine. Your specification is the starting point.
4
Mono-material for PPWR
We redesign existing laminates into recyclable PE or PP mono-material alternatives, aligned with PPWR (EU) 2025/40.
5
Barrier expertise
High-barrier EVOH and metallised structures, documented per structure, through our BarrierFlex® line.
6
Tested on your line first
We validate film compatibility with your VFFS or HFFS equipment and set the sealing parameters before series production.
7
Private label for brands
Custom, private-label rolls and pouches, technically and graphically, for brand owners, co-packers and producers.
8
Samples every time
We always send physical samples before an order, so you can validate the material, structure and format before you commit.
9
Small and large runs
Larger runs for printed work, and smaller runs for unprinted products, from a first trial through to established volumes.

Mission

To give European and international brands flexible packaging that is compliant, recyclable by design and made to run on their lines, produced inside the EU with a short supply chain and full technical documentation. We build each structure from the product, the machine and the regulation up, validate it before production, and stand behind it with the paperwork buyers need.

Sourcing FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does VLM Poliplast export flexible packaging outside Romania?

Yes. We supply B2B customers across the European Union and export markets, shipping finished rolls and pouches from our plant in Bucharest, as a European flexible packaging manufacturer.

Why source flexible packaging from Romania and the EU?

Producing inside the EU gives you a shorter, more predictable supply chain than long-haul imports, food-contact and PPWR compliance built in, no intra-EU customs clearance, and direct technical contact with the plant.

Is your packaging compliant for the European market?

Yes. Structures are food-contact compliant (Reg. (EC) 1935/2004 and Reg. (EU) 10/2011), PFAS-free, and designed in line with PPWR (EU) 2025/40, with declarations of conformity available on request.

Do you produce private-label packaging for brands?

Yes. We produce custom, private-label rolls and pouches, technically and graphically, for brand owners, co-packers and producers, with printing up to 8 colours.

Can VLM Poliplast replace our current flexible packaging supplier?

Often, yes. We review your current structure, match or improve it (including a recyclable mono-material alternative), send samples and validate it on your line before switching production.
